Steel Awards Overview

The Southern African Institute of Steel Construction (SAISC) members and the entire steel value chain are invited to participate in the SAISC Steel Awards 2025. Along with myriad other networking and training event highlights on SAISC’s annual calendar, the Institute is anticipating dozens of high-quality project entries to this year’s Awards.

The SAISC Steel Awards 2025 winners will be announced at a specially-themed, celebratory gala dinner hosted at Emperor’s Palace in Gauteng on 23rd October 2025. The theme for 2025 is being finalised. Watch this page for details.

Project Nominations / Entries

Engineers, Fabricators, Steelwork Contractors are encouraged to nominate projects completed in 2024.

Self-Service Nominations
The Nominator is responsible for coordinating / inviting team members to attend the interview, developing presentations, completing supporting documents, sharing high resolution images and video footage with the SAISC. SAISC Team members will not be present in the Zoom call - which will automatically recorded and shared with the SAISC.

SAISC Member Price: R5 500 ex VAT per nomination
Non-Member Price: R6500 ex VAT per nomination

Managed Nominations
Need a bit of extra support compiling your nomination? Let the SAISC Team help you set up your Project Team Case Study interview, review and advise on how to structure your presentations and complete supporting documents. An SAISC Team members will be present in the Zoom call - which will automatically recorded and shared with the SAISC.

SAISC Member Price: R7500 ex VAT per nomination
Non-Member Price: R8500 ex VAT per nomination

What do I need to do to submit a nomination?
1 - Submit your nominator details, project name, category, region and invoicing details (Submission form will be available in January 2025)

2 - Book and complete your recorded project case study before the 30 May 2025 Nomination Deadline.
Projects submitted after this deadline will incur a 20% administration fee. No project nominations will be accepted after 30 June 2025.

3 - All project presentations shared in the case study interviews must use the provided presentation template and content structure. You can delete sections that are not relevant to your project. Please do not add sections to the presentation. No changes to colours or fonts. No company branding on the presentations.


Attending the Event - Table and Individual Bookings

Table bookings will open in March 2025. For enquiries - please reach out to Elrika Boshoff.

Your booking will be received by the event team and they will respond to you with next steps.

Table Bookings (Seats 10 pax)
SAISC Member Price: R17 250.00 ex VAT per table
Non Member Price: R18 000.00 ex VAT per table

Single Seat Bookings
SAISC Member Price: R1 725.00 ex VAT
Non Member Price: R1 800.00 ex VAT

Preferential seating is offered to Table Bookings over Single Seat Bookings.

Cancellation Policy
A full refund will be provided if cancellation occurs 30 days before the scheduled date. If cancellation occurs within two weeks prior to the scheduled date, a 50% refund will be granted. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after that time.
